Listening, Learning, Growing—Together
Julieann Burroughs…who is she?
For more than three decades, Grove City has been my home — the place where I raised my three sons, built my business, and dedicated my time to serving our community. As a lifelong resident, small business owner, and proud mom, I understand what makes Grove City special — and I believe in protecting that sense of community while ensuring we continue to grow responsibly for future generations.
As a single mom of three, I’ve learned the true meaning of hard work, perseverance, and compassion. I know what it takes to balance a budget, make tough decisions, and put people first — because I’ve lived it every day. Those same values guide me in both my personal and professional life, and they’re the values I’ll bring to Grove City Council.
For over 14 years, I’ve served on the Board of Friends of the Hocking Hills State Park, with the honor of being President for the past 12 years. Through that work, I’ve championed the preservation of one of Ohio’s most treasured natural resources while building partnerships, overseeing strategic growth, and managing nonprofit initiatives that make a real impact.
Here at home, I’m currently a board member of Grove City’s Parks and Recreation Foundation, working to expand opportunities for recreation, wellness, and connection for residents of all ages. I’ve also proudly volunteered for the Mayor’s Grove City Pickleball Tournament for the past three years, helping raise more than $45,000 for LifeCare Alliance, which provides critical support and meals to seniors and families in need.
My record shows that I don’t just talk about service — I live it. I’ve been actively involved, hands-on, and deeply invested in making our community better. Running for Grove City Council-At-Large is simply an extension of that lifelong commitment.
I’m not a politician, and I’m not running as part of any political party. I’m running as an Independent, because I believe this race — and this city — should be about people, not politics. My focus is on the residents, our neighborhoods, and the shared values that make Grove City a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
I’m ready to continue giving back, to listen to the people who live here, and to make thoughtful, responsible decisions that move Grove City forward — together.
